I made a post about this over on HTC, and got a lot of good input, so I'm gonna ask the same thing over here. The more opinions the better right?

If I remember right, the SMT6 is adjustable on the fly, where as the PSC is not. This is a big selling point to me. Anyone else?

No direct experience with either, but I think it depends on what you plan to do. When I was thinking about going with one, I liked the SMT because it can pull timing (for my nitrous). If you're just replacing hardware, like taming a cam or doing heads/cam, intake, etc. I think either will do well getting the A/F dialed-in. If your plan is to someday go with a power adder the SMT6 is the way to go - for now, anyway. If I wasn't going with the FAST, I'd probably still be sitting on my hands waiting for Diablo or SCT as I did for 3 years.

Ok, I've heard of it, seen it, but haven't researched it or seen anything about it to tell me what it does. What's the FAST system? It's called FAST XFI right? Is it a stand-alone unit?

Complete liberation from the Nazi. Yep, a stand-alone.

Fuel Air Spark Technology. Total control over the engine and infinitely tuneable. It also controls up to four stages of nitrous and can store several MAPs for quick changes and a whole bunch features more I haven't even found out about yet. When I get back in town next week I'll take a vid of the '67 427 Mustang we've been working on that's also tuned by the XFI. Hopefully, I'll be taking a vid of the Ram with the 426 and FAST, too.

So does it utilizes nothing from the factory ECM? If so, I assume it gives you full control over the tranny as well? Has there been one hooked up to a factory "like" 5.7 (instead of an aftermarket 426 like yours) to see how it works? Does it compensate for atmospheric pressure and weather? What's a system like this go for?

I know you went with the 727 tranny but does the FAST also control the tranny? Would we need 2 standalones, one for motor and other for tranny?
