Went to HRP tonight. It was packed and colder than a well digger's arse. I only got one run in as the staging lanes were obnoxiously long. I'm pretty bummed about the 60' time, there's so much more left in this combination. No race prep, factory weight, street tires and no burnout, I just rolled right in past the water box. I didn't even hit WOT until about 100' out or so and it was heading toward the wall all the way through 2nd.

R/T - .067
60' - 2.275
330 - 5.486
1/8 - 8.002
MPH - 98.26
1000 - 10.154
1/4 - 11.997
MPH - 122.12

I'll have my slip scanned and posted tomorrow as I'm sure many will wave the BS flag.

Oh yeah, I was on my bike. Whistle

It's a Super Hawk 996 (big v-twin). Too short to have much fun drag racing, but it's a blast in corners. They're not real popular, but I love this bike (other than trying to keep the front end down). I ran 11.40 the first time I ever ran it (the only other time I've run it) when it was bone stock. After a cam chain tensioner failure last winter I built the engine with JE 11.5:1 pistons, Yoshimura cams, Jet Hot coated header pipes, D&D cans, Factory Jet Kit, K&N drop in and ported the heads, then I regeared it from 16/41 to 15/43. It's a blast from a roll and will hang with the in-line 4 liter bikes to 120 or so, but it's basically useless in first gear.

I'd be interested to see what this does in back-to-back runs. Maybe someday when the track isn't completely packed.

Wow... year right, that gear change alone on a twin would make first gear a buckin' bronco!

I used to work for Smithers Customs... he's nick named "Busa Dr." Runs a 500hp turbo Busa, and used to run Pro-Mod in AMA. Personally, I ran a ZX-10. Never got around to doing what I wanted to with it... I actually traded it for my HEMI. :d/

Nice! I don't think I could part with a bike, I admire your courage. LOL

My wife works at Honda of Houston in finance (employee pricing!). I'm thinking I'm going to have to add to the stable when the new CBR1K comes out this spring, but I'm going to be buried with the 'Hawk.
