I've only been to the track once, at London, KY (1200 feet altitude) where we had our first HTC Kentucky Chapter GTG. My best 1/4 mile was 14.71 seconds @ 92.17 mph. Not too bad for a nearly stock RCSB Ram with a 3.92 peg leg gear and 20's.

Good time for the conditions and mods; those stock 20s are a killer. I'd guess a 2.2 - 2.3 short time with the open diff?

Planning on any additional mods?

HA HA, I feel horrible then. I was getting 15.5's with intake and exhaust, 20's, 3.92 posi and it was almost 100 degree's out, lol. Had a few large straps and tools in the cab as well, so I really wasn't set up for it by far. First time I was at the track with it as well, and was spinning to much off the line. Think my 60' was 2.5's.

Looking forward to changing those times this spring with added mods installed this winter. :d/

Don't feel bad, I've been there! I remember the Daytona HTC rally in '04; I ran 14.6....with a 75 shot! LOL We won't even talk about the n/a times. As long as you're having fun ETs are just numbers.

That's the problem... that wasn't fun! lol I work at the local NHRA track, and that day was the national event of the SyTy's. (Syclone's and Typhoon's) Even though I beat a Syclone (well only cause he was sitting there trying to brake boost after I was passed the 60', lol), I was still a very slow, very big truck out there, lol.

Thanks. My best 60 foot was 2.27 seconds. I have a heck of a time launching with the peg leg and the OEM tires. I'm wanting to get an LSD and possibly 4.56 gears. Lighter 17 inch wheels would be nice if I can find the $$$. Also an e-fan, high flow y-pipe, and pulleys.

I bet it was 80+ outside and high humidity, right. A couple months after I put the 268 in we ran the Power Tour in my truck. The 4th or 5th day was IRP in Indy - hotter than hell! I think my best motor run that day (I didn't bother saving the slips) was 15.5 and this was with a (untuned) 268, Bassani full exhaust, CAI, APS 2600 and heavy, heavy Kaiser 20s. The thing just fell on it's face in third like I lifted. I had run 14.80 previously in slightly cooler temps. It may only be an '03 thing, but I think this was due to both the temp and 1200+ miles of highway driving. The more I drove the truck on the tour, the better the mpg got and the doggier it was in town. Friggin' Nazi ECU!

Couldn't have said it better myself. Mine's an '03 as well. It was well over 80, pushing 90's. Seemed like it was gonna rain anytime all day the humid was so high.

It really was a horrible day to run, but I wanted a baseline since I had never ran it before. Considering the conditions, I don't think I can run any worse.

My new best times came on Sunday, April 20 at Bowling Green in the Chrysler Classic. Truck weighed 4795 pounds with me and 16 gallons of gas. Not bad times for a peg leg.

60' 2.172
330' 6.054
1/8 9.285 @ 76.30
1000' 12.085
1/4 14.516 @ 92.01
