A little preview of what I've been working for the last couple weeks in preparation for the 426. This truck is slated to face-off with a late-model GMC packing a 427" LSX crate engine built by Nickens Bros. Racing the builds will be featured in Sport Truck magazine and the heads-up action will be covered by Sport Truck and Trucks! TV. True street trucks, no race gas, DOT tires and no tin cans (full interior). He's got a little weight advantage, but I think I have him covered on power, traction and suspension. Stay tuned...

The block:

Head

JE Flat tops

K-1 Rods

6mm valves as compared to OE 6.1

Narrow rod bearings for less parasitic loss

The parts bin

Lighter, more efficient TCI Ultimate Street Fighter. Who needs O/D?!

Mock up to fab tranny mount

Trans mount fabbed, next off to powder coating

Fabbing Flowmaster 3" exhaust

S-bend and crossover

Super 44s using factory mounts

Tacked and ready for TIG

Front cover adapter for 6.1 intake

Alright Moto I am ready to see this thing on the track. I know you can drive but I wonder if you have ever had this much engine under your foot! I thought the 5.7 stroker was going to get away from you in Columbus.Whistle

Ok we will leave that one alone. But a little flack never hurts anyone. Just makes you want to do better to prove them wrong!

Most likely there will be two dates; one for the Sport Truck shoot and one for Trucks. The ST will most likely be in March for an Aug/Sept/Oct issue release. Not sure about Trucks! TV. Should know more next week as we have a conference call with the show's producer Monday.

Hey Jared, I noticed you said something about a fuel system from Aeromotive on HTC. Have you gotten that ball rolling yet? I see Steve fairly often at the track I work when he comes for test and tune. He's one of the regular's that come. I'm 15 minutes from Aeromotive, so if ya ever need any help with that, let me know.

I don't think I've ever met Steve. I always talk to Kyle Fickler. When I met with him last week he was asking about the p/n for the '04+ fuel pump I was planning on using. He wanted to check it out as he's worried I may run out of fuel. I'll have pressure, but he's worried about volume.

Right on! Don't think I know Kyle. Just know the guys that come to the track with Steve. I always thought if I ever got around to pushin' some serious boost or something of the sort, I'd give them a shot to see what they could do about a better direct multi-port fuel injection system.

Keep me posted with that, maybe I'll run down there and harrass them sometime. They make killer products.
