I'm tentatively planning on converting from FAST to the Diablo when/if it ever comes available so I can at least attempt to pass emissions here in H-town. Just wanted to see what the latest is from Diablosport.

I don't think it's coming out anytime soon I pre-ordered last year then got my money back after five months of delays. I think that when it does come out it's going to be the best option out there as you will be able to custom tune at a CMD center or use whats programmed in the pedator for the mildly modified trucks. Should invite one of the DS guys to join this forum.

Yeah, I was thinking of going over to HTC and PMing Mike@Diablosport.

I got one for the Magnum from PPP and the thing rocks! The shifts are incredible and the whole seat-of-the-pants feel is much better with just the 93 CAI cookie-cutter tune. I haven't even begun to scratch the surface of what this thing can do. I'm dying to get a good heads/cam package on this car with a custom tune. Family-haulin' sleeper.

That's exactly what I'm lookin to do Jared... I really don't want to invest in a piggy back if I don't have to if the Predator can take care of it all for me. Several posts in HTC about this.

Yeah, I never wanted to do the piggy-back thing either, though in retrospect I probably should have. I dealt with the 268 untuned (PO172, PO300) for 2.5 years. If I had known in Feb. '05 we'd still be waiting today I'd have bought the SMT. Lucky for you guys, however, I'm pretty confident DS will have this out for the '04-up this year, maybe even the red-headed, 16-bit stepchild (2003) will get something, too.

That's my problem, I have an '03, and I can't hold my breathe as long as most people.

The option that's selling me on the SMT6 is "tune on the fly". I heard people with the PSC1-003 had to pull over everytime they had to make a change. Not what I want!

Guys, I can only say at this point that we are awaiting hardware to finish the DR Predators, and that it will hopefully be soon.
We have tuned several trucks and have seen solid gains from our tunes.

All you guys with heavily modified trucks will not be disappointed that you waited for this tool to come out, as the custom tuning features will allow for a whole new level of modification in the Hemi platform (like actually having giant cams that idle no problem, or FI setups that do not melt pistons).

Thanks
Mike

OK Mike if you got a big bump stick or FI you will still need to go to one of your centers for a custom tune right? or once you get the info on what the mods are, will it be available as a download straight to our computers for upload to the tuner?

Mods like this will require custom tuning from a CMR dealer.
Offering generic tunes for modified vehicles will just get people in trouble, if they 'assume' everything is alright.
You really need to have some A/F info at the very least to dial these combos in.
