Is Arrington going to offer truck specific cam grinds?

I know Steve, the Mad Scientist, has a buuuunch of grinds for 5.7s and 6.1s. It looks like they're leaning more toward custom grinds though, judging by the site. Maybe he'll chime in here. Hopefully, we'll get some numbers and curves on their cams.

Sound greatApplause can have custom grinds for our trucks.

I gotta see if I can dig up the sound clip from the 370. I don't think Steve ever sent me the specs for that cam, but it was niiiiice at idle; the Shaker was working overtime. I gotta go dig up the dyno, too. I know it's around here somewhere...

I have a mild engine with MDS so I'm running a Comp 260. very limited without beefing-up.

Yeah, now that I've got an SMT6, I wouldn't mind getting something a little wilder than this Comp 260.

Cool! Sounds like you're ready. Did PH install the SMT for you or did you tackle it yourself?

No, it's still sitting in my garage. I just got done installing the Hellas I got for Xmas, so I haven't had time to mess with it yet. PH has one, too, but he's still running the PSC. Gotta find a weekend when I don't have so much SGO.Brick wall

Get pics and do a write-up on the install if you can. I'd like to learn more about them. My neighbor has an '05 4x4 and he's been after me for a year to put a 268 or custom grind in it, but like most he can't have the hassle of codes (it's a DD). I'd like to do it this spring and if DS doesn't come through, we'll probably go this route.

I wouldn't mind one, but I still need a piggyback and all the items needed. Working on that first. Thing is, I know nothing about cam lingo, or what the dimensions mean. I think I undestand duration, and that's about it, lol. Put a # behind it though, and I'm lost again. But even then, I dunno what duration provides to the performance.

I know just enough about profiles to be dangerous. Crane has a pretty good primer on cams here. I'm sure at least a few members on here could help you with an ideal custom grind though.

I'd like to get a PC friendly cam right now (260 is what I've been in the market for), just so I can compare to something else. Then get my piggy back and whatever I need for something a little hotter, and then upgrade. Trucks not a daily driver, but I would like it to survive a road trip.

Wait a sec, crane doesn't have our trucks, or any modern HEMI in there search of their website... what's up with that?

Oh ok, didn't know that, lol. Figured they'd say SOMEthing about it though since there's been enough time for people to have them installed already. Like I said, I know nothing about the crane cams.

No, wasn't picking on you! Rather, mocking their marketing dept. or whomever controls that.

I know you weren't, just kinda shocked at there lack of marketing for a product that's been out for a year. Usually it's vise versa.
