Jared I know you're using this on yer new motor, but is anyone else using this on a relatively stock truck?

How difficult would it be to install this on our trucks, the 5.7? It would completely replace the factory ECM right? Does it operate the tranny as well? '03's have less 02 sensors than '04+, is it designed to work just for the '04+? Or does it come with it's own so it's universal?

Figured I'd ask here incase anyone had experience with this yet before I go talking to them.

It is very much plug and play, but not the solution for most street guys. The harnesses are intimidating at first, but very well labeled. If you can route wires, use a hole saw and do very little soldering/heat shrinking you can install this. It does not use the existing O2 sensors; it is in itself a wideband and the sensor is included.

I'll know more in the coming days, but it does not completely replace the ECU. They will operate side-by-side, you're just taking all fuel, air, spark control away from the Nazi. You still need the ECU for gauges, a/c, etc. My goal is to set it up without error codes, and I'm working with two FAST pros that think it can be done, but personally I don't see how with the injector, coil, ECT, IAT, cam, crank, TB, etc. harnesses unplugged. I'm expecting the lighting bolt and the CEL to be illuminated.

I'll post more info in a few days as I continue to learn.

But not for the '03. Let alone, I want the extra 02 sensors so I can get a more accurate reading from both banks individually, not both at the same time, or like with my headers, just the passenger side.

Any added info? I'd like to start saving for this. I really don't want to do anything else to the motor till I can get something to give me everything I need for accurate tuning.

I'm seeing prices as low as $1600 for the system, which is a lot better than I thought, but I don't know what to look out for. I know different kits include different hook-ups to different engines. Need my facts straight.
