Arrington Performance 392 HEMI Cold Air Intake - Carbon Fiber
The redesigned Arrington Performance Cold air intake for 2011 and 2012 392 HEMI has been released! This new intake incorporates all the performance of API’s current version of the 2011-2013 SRT8 HEMI cold air intake but now boasts improved quality and a seamless air transition to the throttle body and angled intake manifold. Also included in this kit is a full carbon fiber heat shield lid to compliment the aircraft grade carbon fiber tube. This kit is a dramatic improvement on Arrington’s first on the market CAI for the HEMI 392 motors. Like that system, the new CAI features a carbon fiber intake tube, a powder coated sheet metal air box, and a high flow performance air filter. The new assembly replaces the factory rubber throttle body elbow with a black silicone transition coupling that attaches to the intake. This coupling attaches to the intake tube’s 90 millimeter end which now incorporates a reinforced retainer bump. To reduce intake temperatures, the kit utilizes an enclosed air box design.
Arrington Performance cold air intake systems are purpose built to increase horsepower and torque on late model 392 HEMI engines. By incorporating the Venturi effect, the intake system is able to improve aerodynamic swirl and increase air intake velocity. This swirl forces more air through the throttle body, through the intake manifold, which in turn feeds greater amounts of air into the engine. The result is improved HEMI engine efficiently and more power.
NOTE: This unit is designed to fit a stock 80mm or upgraded 85mm throttle body. An upgraded silicone coupler is available to install the Arrington 90mm throttle body. This kit has a carbon fiber molded outlet that is 90millimeters. The included silicone transition is from 90mm to 80mm. Call to order the strait coupling.
